South Coast Global Medical Center is a Certified Primary Stroke Center and also provides specialized services, such as our Delivery Land™ Maternal Care Services and a Senior Behavioral Health Unit for our geriatric community.
Our Senior Behavioral Health Program, Golden Years, serves patients aged 55 years and older with acute behavioral issues. Physicians and staff members treat patients with a variety of illnesses, including mood disorders, acute psychosis, major depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders of aging and early dementia. It includes individualized assessment and treatment planning, therapeutic daily activities, and comprehensive discharge planning.
Delivery Land is South Coast Global Medical Center’s newest and most exciting addition to our comprehensive maternal child health services. Our Maternity Services include childbirth preparation courses at no cost, pre-admission services, post-partum resources, breastfeeding education, and the highest caliber of precautionary procedures to ensure the safety of new arrivals. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic condition caused by changes in the gastroesophageal valve that allows acid to flow back from the stomach into the esophagus. Symptoms include burning sensation in the chest, regurgitation of food or sour liquid and difficulty swallowing. Treatment for GERD varies according to the severity of the symptoms and the individual. Many GERD sufferers can benefit from anti-reflux surgery. South Coast Global Medical Center offers the Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF) procedure as a way to treat GERD.

We also work closely with accrediting agencies to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and implement best practices when applicable.
Our Quality Department assists in collecting and analyzing data to help our hospital identify areas for improvement and to provide guidance in making meaningful, sustainable, and quality improvements.
